[诗人简介]
杰克?吉尔伯特（Jack Gilbert），美国当代诗人。1925年出生于宾夕法尼亚州匹兹堡，高中毕业后曾做过推销员、灭虫工人和钢铁工人。后入匹兹堡大学，并开始诗歌创作。1962年出版第一本诗集《危险观察》（Views of Jeopardy, 1962）。后陆续出版诗集三部：《独石》（Monolithos, 1982）、《大火》（The Great Fires, 1994）、《拒绝天堂》（Refusing Heaven, 2005）。其诗以朴素的抒情和明晰的语言为主要特色。
